This is a vine that's growing up my big oak tree, I've never noticed it blooming before.
Any ideas?

It's Campsis radicans, trumpet vine. If the oak tree is very large, it shouldn't be a problem. It is invasive, but gorgeous in bloom.

It's been growing up the tree for about 2 years now and so far is pretty sparce, nothing like that first picture, lol.
The tree is huge but now that I know what it is maybe I'll cut it back in the fall. Actually it seems to me like it's died back in the winter but I'll keep an eye on it, I obviously didn't pay that much attention to it before.
