Someone was looking for white cannas a while back. Well, I found them. They are named "Creme De Creme" and they are a creation from a hybrid seedling from the older type "Eureka". They
can be found online at Aaron's Bulb Farm, for $39.00 a bulb {yikes}. They have an eight hundred number, 800-913-9347 for ordering. Hope this helps.

completely white, yes, white cannas!!
Eyes, I wonder if there's possibly another source for these bulbs. I remembered seeing some negative comments about Aaron's in the Plants By Mail FAQ where they are listed as
Aaron's: http://pbmfaq.dvol.com/list/aarons.html and also as
TyTy: http://pbmfaq.dvol.com/list/tyty.html
Something that makes me nervous about a company is when they have multiple names they are "doing business as", which is the case here (check out the entries; they have probably 30 or more names all together.) I've never ordered from these folks, so maybe if someone else has, they can share their experience here or with Joe Robinson at the PBM FAQ. I'd be cautious about ordering from them unless I heard from a trusted source that they were on the up and up.
But it IS heartening to know there is a white canna!
I hope they are on the up and up! I'm not ordering from them, just doing a little research, and I remembered someone posting here and at another site looking for them. Thanks for looking after me, 'cause I need every angel I can get! LOL.

They sound like the other mail order catalogs that recently went belly up! I am so glad they are gone. I hope they do not return. It was so easy to be tempted by the great prices. Even though we all know you get what you pay for. But we also forget that sometimes you dont get what you pay for either! I ordered a daylily collections of 5 differnt daylilies. I was sorely dissappointed this spring when they all bloomed the exact same!
And I'm afraid that you might not even get what you pay for; I've heard stories from people who have ordered so-called "rare" bulbs for $20, $30, $40 or more per bulb, only to discover that other nurseries offer the same thing for a fraction of the price.
Yes, there is a white canna. I had one or have one somewhere in my yard that has not bloomed yet. I hope it is going to make it so I will know which one it is. I have three that are small and have not made it to blooming size.
I really hope it will make it so I can find it. It is a very slow grower.
http://www.alohatropicals.com/cannas.html has "Tall White Cannas"
...problem, Crimson....there is no picture available on this one, and I like to see what I am "supposed" to be getting.....but thanks for the link, anyway.

I have 3 plants growing in the greenhouse at work that are white cannas. From Alohatropicals in Calif. A nursery(now gone) in San Marcos calif had several white canna types..I had the dwarf Arctic white for a while but they are very weak and don't holdover or multiply well.
Do you consider Eureka white or not?
It is Considered white...but has a drop of red on top, if I remeber right.
