Quick Question: Empress Hotel Trees, what are they?

Dallas, TX(Zone 8a)

Hello all!

If anyone has a quick moment and wouldn't mind; do you know what type of trees are located outside the front of the Empress Hotel? The two that are leaning/weeping and very large. (hope this makes sense) I was there on vacation back in April and fell in love with them! They looked to me they looked like a set of hounds protecting the Hotel.

I have searched and searched the web today and am not having any luck. I am updating my trip blog and was hoping to know the type of tree they are.

Thank you in advance for your help!

I don't know what they are called, but managed to find a photo so others could look too. I hope the link works.

Thank you so much for the Links Linda and Growin!

I loved Victoria and had a wonderful time and look forward to going back soon. My mom spent summers there with her grandparents and it was wonderful to see it through her eyes. Such a lovely city!

I am happy to finally know the type of trees!

Thanks again,

Duff
