I wish I could add my new Epecia pics! I can't move well yet of course. I will get pictures as soon as I am able. The box came while I was in the hosp. Ember Lace and Showtime! They are stunning and large. A bit wrinkled in the box so they need some time to spred out. I love that EMBER LACE. You all just have to look it up if you have not seen them!!! I don't know a link to share. So exciting.
Edited to say, sorry I mispelled Episcia!

Two new Epecia
You are home from the hosp.? Hope all is going well. When you feel better we would love to see the pics. Take good care of yourself.
I did come home as soon as I could. The hosp. was so nice, great nurses and doctors, but you can't rest well and the germs scare me. I DID get a cold too! Anyway, my doctor said I could come home after the 2nd day. Hubby is caring for me.
I just love the new plants! I can't wait to show them. Sally
Hi Sally: I'm so glad you are feeling up to visiting DG. I love Episcia's. Can't wait to see your pictures when you are able to post them but I am going to google and see if I can find what those two look like! I will come back and post a link if I find them.
Sally,
I understand what you mean about coming home.. I always did the same thing... I hope you are doing well and I hope you have a fast recovery...
Hugs,
Susan
Oh my goodness ... E. 'Ember Lace' is absolutely Beautiful! Check it out: http://www.gesneriads.ca/episc15.htm
and E. 'Showtime' is really pretty too! http://www.gesneriasterna.se/bilder/Episcia_Showtime.jpg
I really love the looks of both of these!
Yeah, thank you for posting those pics. I know others may have these plants. I love them. I know someone posted the Showtime, not long ago. HAD to get it and found the Ember Lace too. WOW, they are stunning. I didn't want to get more Episcia's but I DID, ha.
Isn't the laptop computer a great thing??? So nice while recovering! Mine is HEAVY, at least after a surgery. It is a 17" widescreen. Hubby has to put it on my lap. I have to be careful picking things up. I MISS holding my sweet furgirl. Hubby carefully gives her to me though. He holds her alot too. She is SO happy we are HOME!

I bet your little Chipper is soo happy to have you back home! Yez, you will definitely need to be very careful not to lift anything very heavy at all for awhile. How are you doing with handling the pain since you've been home? I know you said you have a problem with meds? I hope you are at the point now, of just soreness and not experiencing a lot of pain anymore. I have heard some women have less migraines after a hysterectomy, maybe having the surgery will have some positive effect for you too.
Well, I am off to bed. Had a very busy and tiring day today. Moved every single plant off of the pool deck - getting ready for the workers to get here next week to start the re-finishing project! Roofers are coming at 7:00 a.m. Monday morning to start the new roof. Gonna be a very busy week coming up!
Hope you have a good night and a nice day tomorrow. Rest and get your strength back!
Blessings,
Lin
Sally, those are really nice episcias. Do you mind if I ask you where you ordered them? I am dying for one of the new Daphne's Choice. Let me steal for a moment a picture of her. Marjorie got one at nationals. Supposedly Dave Thompson told her it doesn't grow stolons and the leaves do look a little like strep leaves.
Let me find her.
Lin, I would still love to get some help from medicine. Still painful. But I have to deal with it. I do hope to leave my migraines FAR BEHIND ME!!!
Gail, I ordered the Episcia's from Lyndon Lyon Greenhouse. They are a large size. The Ember Lace isn't cheap, but worth it. Ten dollars or so, I forgot. Nice sizes.
In looking for a picture to borrow of Daphne's Choice, I noticed your two episcias and that he is now offering Daphne's Choice, too.........
Sally hope you get to feeling better real soon. You know how I got rid of my migraines??
Got a divorce. LOL
Makshi, what would do without your sense of humor!
Makshi, HA! Well, I am glad you feel better!
It tis the truth I promise.
