Cocoa, thank you! Mine was small the first year but the next year it climbed to the top of the obelisk and put on a show! It's bloomed like this 2 years now -- I hope it continues to be so reliable. Good luck with yours. I appreciate your compliment.

dsloane, thanks. I'm sure it will grow in Texas. In your climate with a longer growing season you are practically guaranteed a good re-bloom! Give it a try!

Hi dsloane, yes. Mine is in the ground, planted under an obelisk, but you can use anything that it can climb on. A fence, trellis or even a post works well. As proof that clematis grows well in Texas, there are fellow DGers -- who live in Texas -- who have fabulous clematis collections!
