What beautiful leaves. New spring growth? And what a interesting name. How did it get Food Wrapper?

Beautiful, BC(Zone 8b)

I was trying to figure that out. Doesn't look very "food wrapper" compatible. Kinda fuzzy like that Kalanchoe with the fuzzy leaves. This one really reminds me of a Poinsettia and is related. The pic was taken a 2 weeks ago in Seattle.

Foodwrapping with poinsettia may be lethal. LOL

Well, being an Euphorbiaceae you'd think it would cause the same irritation. Not much info on this one out there.

ps. Did ya ever hear back on that Cupressus macrocarpa?

Shoot. I may have, what was I looking to hear back on?

I finally succumbed and got a small one for a combo pot. I am so bad at saying NO to myself.

It's a good one to not say No to. I could probably dig for the error report but it was about the synonym names including something like citron...something as per San Marcos Growers website. I bet it's on their listing.

I just reread it. I see I was struggling to put my courtyard together and here it is so many months later and I am still struggling to get my courtyard together. NO hope!

You have a great memory, Mike. Evidently I did email them for I said I did and they must not have emailed me back or I would have forwarded the info. I just emailed them again: "Would you please tell me if your Cupressus macrocarpa Lemon Yellow is the same cultivar as Cupressus macrocarpa 'Citriodora' or are they totally different cultivars?
I am trying to make sure we have a correct entry in PlantFiles at Dave's Garden.
Thanks so much

So lets see.

I just went out to look at which one I bought and I have Cupressus macrocarpa 'Citriodora' and it is very yellow with some white. I crushed it too and I did smell the lemon scent but really had to crush it.

Now on their site they say their Lemon Yellow is the same as your Goldcrest.
