lilac cut flower ?

I only get two days before I must throw the cut flower lilacs out. Is there some thing I put in the water to make them last longer?

Hi Gary,
Have you split or crushed the stems? that helps Lilacs to last a bit longer, They have thick woody stems are not easy to keep as a cut flower in my experience. A dose of flower food may help! Good Luck
