Hey guys,
I am loving all of your pics. I have a digital camera that is not worth much. I cannot get a close up of anything if I tried. I am looking into buying a new digital camera for close ups of BF's, flowers and such. I thought maybe some of you would not mind sharing what cameras yall are using and how impressed you are with them. This would be so helpful to me.
Thanks so much.
Leslie
Camera information please.
I use a Kodak EasyShare Z740. It works pretty good for closeups of butterflies, cats and flowers as long as I can get the camera close enough. I found it hard to learn how to use the camera and software...took me quite a while...and I'll probably never know all that I should. But then again, I'm not good at learning technical stuff and I'd never had a digital camera before.
I used to have a Kodak C743 but last month I went on a canoe trip with Mom. Let's just say if she were an Indian we would name her "She Who Flips Canoes". After my camera met it's salt-water fate, I bought a Kodak M893. I like both of them; they fit in my pocket and take photos that are good enough for me.

I've got an Olympus C740 and I love it! It has a 10X optical zoom and macro for closeups. Not hard to use either.

Thanks guys. Going to look those up right now. Mine is so useless.
That was a good one Melanie. Sounds like my mom. LOL

Leslie,
I don't have it yet but I recently researched in detail for a camera that would do macro and would fire faster than a mile long walk (my last camera NEVER caught the BF wings open). I chose the Canon G9- it does everything automatically but also allows you to change settings and grow into photography. The best price I've seen for a reputable source was http://tinyurl.com/4ptp98 You could also go to Sams Club- I know you can order it from them online, they might have it in stock so you can hold it.
