My container is not nearly as fancy as some I have seen on here, but I just want to show her off.. This is my hen duck and she is full of moss rose.

My container is a duck decoy...(HeHe) I had my hubby to cut out the top and cut the bottom thingy off so she would sit up.. Then put soil and added the plants. Not very hard at all and was easy to cut.

Thanks for the comments,

Cynni - That's really good! What a great idea. Somebody gave me these geese that were made out of recycled tires - I had them sitting on the lawn overlooking the dock and you would swear they were real. They got blown away in a hurricane and I've yet to ever find them again. Anytime I do a search for them on the internet, I keep coming up with these great duck decoys! Great way to show off some plants!

Cynni~that is adorable!
I also had three Canadian Geese rubber hunting decoys, that looked amazingly real, all in different poses. We use to move them around our front yard, the neighbors got a real kick out of it, as they looked so real! It was our silly way of keeping in touch with our Canadian roots!
We also lost, all but one to hurricane Katrina. I might try your planter idea with our solo goose.

I've seen the geese on lawns and I also thought they were real. My daughter had to tell me they weren't. They are sooo cute. If I had one I would probably try it as a planter!! Wouldn't that just be the cutest...

Garderkett - Oh my! I grew up in Ontario...and my geese blew away in Hurricane Charlie! I need to find another pair again. They were so cute!

You have no idea what you started with me when you posted your head. It took me months online to find the right one. When I finally did find it, I went nuts and had the most fun I've had for ages. Bought a lot of them and planted and gave some for gifts.

You're not going to believe this...I found the wholesaler of those heads and am now selling them on Daves Marketplace, along with some other statuary. You started it my dear...Thank-you!
