Hi,
I don't know a lot about the local bird population but I've spotted a bird in my garden this spring that I don't recall ever seeing before. I've searched the web for a picture of similar birds but can't find anything.
Can anyone help ID this bird for me?
Here is the info:
Location: Just outside of St. John's Newfoundland
Color: Black cap, blue upper body, white eye stripe and white underbelly (no brown anywhere as a bluebird should have)
Size: about 3-4 inches
Feeds on seeds from backyard feeder.
Other info: Quick flight, not shy
If anyone has any info they can email me at: higginsmyles@yahoo.ca
Thanks.
