I know it's early for most of us to be thinking of excess produce here in Michigan, but the time will be soon upon us.
What do you do with yours?
Personally we give ours to Hidden Harvest in Saginaw and they distribute it to approximately 140 agencies in the tri-counties of Midland, Bay and Saginaw. I'd be interested in finding out what other counties have available to keep food from going to waste.

Veggie gardeners What do you do with excess produce?
We pretty much can, freeze and dehydrate our excess. I do exchange some veggies for free eggs with a neighbor. With food prices soaring we try to grow enough to keep us in veggies year round. I do give some to my son and his family but that's about it. In the future I may consider selling some on the side of the road. It would be nice to get enough back to help pay for next year's plants and seeds.
