Cal Sue! This is probably the best shot of this rose I've seen! How does it grow for you? I like suckering roses, but I'm especially nuts for scented roses and hips. Any comments? I'm in San Francisco, BTW.

It's a beauty but I don't grow it, as I noted in the first post above, I took that shot at Vintage Gardens nursery.

Here's some more info on it, you can check the tabs for additional photos. Too bad there aren't any comments under that tab.

I would probably try it since I now have more room than in my former garden in San Jose but it's only a once blooming.

You don't grow it? Drat! I missed the comment... I can't find this anywhere. Folks say it suckers madly, but still it's unavailable. I know Vintage sells it, but I'm on the waiting list... Can't spring for the custom root fee...

And Vintage will be closing next year so I doubt they will even be doing any additional cuttings.
There are several other sources though, on that link above, click the Buy From tab and then make sure you click the 'View All Nurseries Selling this Rose' at the bottom of the page. I can recommend Pickering in Canada although I think there is a 3 plant minimum.
I use that HelpMeFind site to research all roses, using their Search function on the left side. Rogue Valley is another source.
