New Pond Pics

I need more rocks!!!

Okay, I still have rocks but they are either all limestone, which I think you aren't suppose to put in the water or they are small. Anyway here is the waterfall, obviously still needs a lot of work.

Here is the beach area in progress. It is done now but haven't taken a pic of the finished product yet. Did I mention I forgot to put the top on the bottom drain before filling the pond? Guess who gets to go deep sea diving. I have the BD gated right now so no fish get sucked up.

Looks like your going to have one neat pond when your finished! Every project comes with a few oops along the way. I know I've had my share... Good luck with every thing.

Wymore, huh? I'm from Odell. Most of my rocks came from south of there. My Mom is from Wymore.

It's amazing what a small world it can be! I'm taking it, that you were missed by the tornadoes Thurs., since you posted yesterday.

I saw them but they went right north of our house. Only F-1s so no injuries. Several touched down so it could of been much worse.

Funny story is that I saw a military helicopter fly over our house. I think they had the govenor who was touring the area yesterday. They swung back around our backyard twice. I think they though it was a disaster area because of all the pond mess! Between the giant black tarp, rock debris, hosing and the messy trenches from the ditch witch it does look like a tornado hit it.

That's funny. I'm glad you were missed. My daughter lives in Axtell, but works in Kearney. I forget the name of the factory, but they make filters. Her and her fiance work second shift, and were at work during the storm.
edited to ask: What all do you plan on putting in your pond?

Its Baldwin Filters and my husband is a manager there! They have been off work since the tornado because they lost electricity. Should be up hopefully by tomorrow.

I already have a lot in my pond. I was trying to go slow but the build has taken so long I got too excited to be cautious. 2 Sarassas, 2 comets and 2 very small koi. I wasn't going to do koi but I couldn't help myself:) I buillt it deep enough and with a bottom drain so I could do koi if I wanted to. Anyway, gives me an excuse to add another, bigger pond next year!

I put some moneywort, water lettuce, water hyacynth, striped reed grass and water lillies in so far. Just planted some japanese cascading grass on one of the berms. Will post pics later, lots of landscaping left to do and need more rocks!

By the picture, you must be in a relatively new development. You have yourself a great pond. I have a little lined hole. I have fun with that too. Oh, but the adventures your going to have! It will be interesting to follow your progress. It's always hard not to go hog wild with new projects isn't it?
I'm doing a lot of changes in my garden. I built an acidic peat bog, got my little carnivorous plants in this spring. Had my share of "issues" along the way. Hope to have pictures next week. Haven't gone digital. So I have to be patient.

I'm going to try something new. Post a link. Here it goes... http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/f/redmeatoffthebone/all/
Alright I did it!.... Just an old fart here, don't know how to do a lot of things.
