Need help with dog urine stain

Huntington Beach, CA(Zone 10a)

Can someone help me in how to remove dog urine from my Travertine tile floor?

Our little Shitzu was over 16 yrs. old and sadly we had to put him down last week. He had several health problems and towards the end, he started losing his ability to hold his peeing. We would always clean it up as soon as we could, but sometimes he would do it at night and by the time we awoke to clean it, it would leave a stain.

The stain is not discolored in the tile, it's as if the ammonia in the urine etched it into the stone. I have tried so many things, including Granite/Travertine cleaner and it doesn't do anything. The Travertine is 'Honed', which means it doesn't have a shiny surface, but it's not completely flat either.

Any ideas would be very helpful,
Donna
