Sadness
thankfully flowers are not animals or such. It is painful to put plants "down" but they can't tell you in some way or other that they are in pain except by not performing. Plants are renewable; vegetation of all kinds is renewable unlike "animals".How lucky we are that it's "just" plants you were writing about. Keep up the good work, Paul. You, sir, are a jewel!
Ann
Ann You're sweet and thanks so very much.....I like what you said and I agree...I wish kids, mothers, dad, uncles etc were renewable but alas they ain't more the reason to treasure'em while you got'em.......

You, Sir, are a national treasure. Sooo very glad that you have joined the Texas forum. Cannot do without you now in what is it....4 days?? Your attitude certainly helps me put my "problems" in perspective.
God bless you over and over,
Christi
Christi .....I'm glad you enjoy the stories and got something to like you said, help you put things in perspective.... I learned to do that it seems when I started gardening, and I still backslide sometimes but somehow and I'm glad it does, gardening and the folks I've met while doing it helped me keep things in perspective....and if what I relate in my stories helps you, so much the better....and again thanks for your kind comments, I appreciate it very much Christi

Paul, agreeing with Christi twice over. Love your stories. Don't take the time to read many books but do take the time to read you.
Susie
Susie, thanks ever so much.....and I'm so glad you enjoy reading my little stories but I'll tell you something funny, this morning early before I went out to tidy up my garden and piddle around in it, I starting writing a story about how I never can read a book for more than a few pages cause I always see something I need to do in the garden, need to do or want to do.....anyways I hope you'll enjoy that tomorrow or the next day..and again, Susie, thanks for taking the time to write and I'm so glad you liked the stories...
