A few early morning blooms from southeast texas

Nederland, TX(Zone 9a)

Here are a few I plucked for a group shot today. I know I know, I should have left them there and spread the pollen but oh well ;-)

Enjoy the day!

Wow, Robert! What a colorful gorgeous day it must be in your Texas neighborhood!!! All are just gorgeous :-)

The one in the upper left corner with the deep rose/pink and purple center looks similar to one I purchased today. I think it is called Creol Darlene. Ah, that's not right, but it's close.

Very beautiful arrangement though. I think these beauties must come in every color imaginable except jet black and puke green. ;-)

glen74, I think you're correct but the right name should be Creole Darlin'.

Ah yes, that's it! Don't know if that's the one Pizonne has, but with all those different colors, it wouldn't surprise me if one was in there somewhere. ;-)

Hi everyone.

Thanks glen and welcome
The top corner is called Delta rose. Very similiar to creole darlin as well as love bite in the ending color as it fades. Creole Darlin is much more intense in color and is beautiful. Delta rose is not as intense just bigger with petaloids. It is a cajun as well.

I am going to get in trouble for saying this but they do come in puke green. :-))))))

Robert, that is a beautiful display and you probably would not get good seeds anyway in this heat. My Blueberry Thrill had triplets this week with the largest petaloids I have ever seen. It is showing it's 4th of July colors in red, white and blue right now. I didn't get a picture because some critter was munching on the petals but there are lots more buds.

LMAO What is its name? I saw one this morning while browsing Martindales website called Irish Spring. It is very close to puke green, but I hate to say it, I've never seen a more beautiful puke green. Linda Blair would be envious!

I agree, it's a nice puke green, but Irish Spring and Irish Eyes are both sort of in that color family, probably some others as well.

I have many beautiful puke green ones LAMO and Browns LOL Gotta love them all but I do have my favorites ;-)
