Hi Dean:
They look ready to pot up. I wish I had the climate for them. How goes the garden?

Hi Dave:

Every thing is looking good. The banana put on a new leaf. The gingers are leafing out aswell.

You want some?

Dean: I would sure love one or two. I would thing with enough padding they could go out in a padded envelope. You want me to send an envelope with postage to you? or is there anything I have you might want. Most of my excesses have been wittled down.
I am glad everything is looking good. I have some good looking red bud seedlings. A neat acalapha called firestorm(I think its firestom ... I know its fire something...lol)also Some dappled willow with tiny 1/8" roots Or I can cut some fresh or do both. Just some ideas.
We Have a guy here that grows Washingtonia Palms outside year round. He ties the heads up in october, Wraps the trunks with hot water heater insulation. The first time I saw that My head about broke off from the double take. They have survived 7 years as far as I know and who knows how much longer before I saw them. I noticed today he has what appears to be a silver palmetto growing in fromt of his house. I know he gets by with this because he faces south and its close to a brick wall so its a nice micro climate. Its just odd, and makes me want to be a bit more adventurous.
oh yea Good news. We are buying a house in the next month or two just have to get details worked out and pick out the best one we can find by mid july. I will be soooo happy to be where I can plant what I want when I want and not worry about what someone besides the Boss (Wife) thinks.
How cold hardy are the chinese fans? My books don't cover most of the palms. I kick myself every time I need to look something up. I donated a ton of books when I left florida. Oh well live and learn.
Please let me know what I need to do. Dave

Sharon, I've been made aware that these palms have a cercospra fungus. So I wish not to trade any infected plants. I hope you understand. I will treat them w/ fungicide and maybe later we can trade if your still intrested.
