Hi from central Orange County, California

Santa Ana, CA

Hello. I joined about a month ago but am just now getting around to writing anything. I live about 15 miles from the coast. We get some sea breeze most afternoons. I have been gardening on and off for about 25 years. I have become interested in bearded iris and have joined Dave's garden mostly to find out more about them. I am a slow reader and even slower typist with an even slower computer. I also have some computer knowledge but not enough to keep me from encountering problems. Because of this I won't be spending huge amounts of time on this site. It is interesting to see what other people have to say about gardening but I could end up reading comments all day and not get anything else done. - Laurel

Too true - I'm sneaking out on chores right now! Are you aware of our Roundup next month? Please come and meet your fellow CA (and other) gardeners. Lots of folks up your way. Weegy12 has a field of beautiful irises. Welcome to DG and hope to see you at the RU!

welcome ocgal, I am slow at all this too but there is a wealth of info here. Just reading forums and watching pictures has helped me learn more about shade gardening, which is new to me. So do not worry you will fit right in. Have a good day.

Laurel, Welcome ! I love bearded irises also. Mine are almost ready to open. I try to plant the rebloomer- (sometimes they rebloom again in fall) It's easy to spend more time than you care to on this site! I have a very slow computer also.
