Great discussion on outdoor bogs. Too bad there were no real design discussions.. Saved it for my PDA, where all good plant info ends up.

Now I am thinking that I have a plan for that 35 gallon round plastic pond form. Now I need to figure out where. My yard is running out of space for level full sun sites. My front yard is a good canidiate, but my DW would probably nix it.

I replanted my VFT and Drosera into my bowl garden about a week ago. They had been standing in their shipping pots in water before replanting. I learned tip #1: empty the water out of the bowl. Otherwise, you will not get enough soil in the bowl for the plants. So I tried again, added about twice as much soil as before and planted the plants in it. The soil is soggy 24/7 if I add about 1 cup of water a day to it, or if it rains substantially.

But a bigger pond would rule. I need a job, however. We just can't afford me having a Sarracenia addiction while on the Dole. It will have to wait.
