a large rose

Crescent City, CA

Thought you might like to see this rose. It was started several years ago from a 6 inch cutting. It is intermixed with a clematis and a honysuckle plus a wild rose that snuck in.

hope you like it.

Jack, that's marvellous! Well done you - isn't it extraordinary what a cutting will do! Fab.

that's amazing! There's nothing underneath of that rose???? I'd be scared!!! :-p

Port Angeles, WA(Zone 8b)

Wow...that's huge! Can we get a closer look? I'd love to see everything together.

Here are 4 pics of the bush. The clematis is obvious but I am not sure where the honeysuckle is. The clematis blooms first, then the explosion of the rose and then the honeysuckle blooms. Needless to say, the rose continues to bloom just not as profusely.

This is the final pic and thank you for the interest. In answer to the question about support under the rosee, there is none. The rose was originally next to the fence but now the rose grows over and above it and the fence offers no support.

thank all for the intrest.

Wow. What a conglomerate! We all occasionally post a ton of pics and no one around here minds the pics at all. We all love them, especially when we are waiting for our plants to bloom.

That's amazing, and beautiful! Is there something in the water down there? :-)

Union, WA(Zone 8b)

that is my kind of rose. Lovely. No one here minds looking at other gardener's beauties.

Thanks for sharing. We love pictures. That is quite an impressive show. I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes. Nice job.

So. . . was it planned? It looks like clematis armandii (the evergreen one), is that right? Do you know what kind of rose or honeysuckle you have there?

If the kids are drinking the water, you should keep an eye on their height (LOL). And if the house starts to move, I would check the rose first.

And what were you imbibing tonight, Katie?

Dallas, OR(Zone 8a)

Just spectacular! Love it!

Poulsbo, WA(Zone 8a)

Everyone already said it, all I can say is WOW.

Crescent City, CA

This is answering Katie's question. The size was not planned and the other plants just happened to be in the vicinity of the rose. The rose was right next to a fence before we moved the fence. The name of the rose is Cecile Brunner, don't know the name of the honeysuckle or clematis. I am going to post a pic of our golden chain also. It has really done wonderful this year and than all for the interest.

I have heard about Cecile Brunner, but had no idea it could be this spectacular.
