Hello All!
Look what I woke up to this morning. This is penny. My friend bought her for me last fall for a buck. She is prob no more then 6 inches high and maybe 8 with her tail feathers. I love the "look" she gives you.

My little 1.00 hen and dittles
Oh my goodness! What a doll. She looks a little like the Nankins I am trying to hatch (smallest bantam after the Serama) or maybe a Dutch bantam? How many did she hatch and what are they? Beautiful pics!
what a deal! i'd give ten for that look! you have an OEG, i believe in Brown Breasted Red, will have to check... although i still don't know what a nankin looks like...
I think we have 6 little ones. They are not her eggs, but from an americauna(sp) hen that has muffs and a beard. The chicks all have little muffs. She was also a 1.00 chick. The daddy is a blue supposed americauna also, but he has no beard or muffs. The little hen doesn't lay colored eggs either. I love them no matter what they are. I only have one more bantie and it is a splash silkie named Tina(tina turner LOL) She has just started laying and the rooster is the blue daddy of these. Should be a cute mix. The other little bearded hen is setting on guinea eggs a friend gave me.
I also have decided this spring to get some more standard for eggs. I choose naked necks and a few more mixed hens from McMurrays rarest of the rare breed section. I love the naked necks. I think they look like little Ronald Reagans!! LOL

How sweet. Babies with a mommy hen is so neat. I love watching ours with her 3 little babies (only 1 is actually hers). You have a pretty little hen there.
George,
What a cute little hen! She looks like a game hen! We used to raise banties, and we had all different colors. The roosters are very protective! I wish I had room and was able to have some more!
