Why is my Brug not blooming?

Jonesboro, GA(Zone 7b)

My beautiful yellow Brug has not yet put out a bloom this year, it is about 8' tall, 3 years old and had over 100 on it at once last year - what gives? It was blooming in July last year. It is planted in full sun in pretty well composted soil.

Could it be just a lack of enough rain?

Not watering much with the ban you know, think that is the problem???

probably could use a big long drink, then some fertilizer, maybe a bloom booster.... (but i don't call myself an expert).

I water twice a day. Just had to bump up. And I use Bloom Buster and fish emulsion. I guess I'm lucky that I have a well, I didn't realize you were still under restrictions. We haven't had rain here in a month!! It's getting bad, I'm losing perennials that have never been bothered. Good luck!!! Maybe you could bring water from the house on the ban day??
Oh!! And I put most of mine in afternoon shade. Is that possible?

Hi girls, not treating it any different than the past 2 years when it bloomed beautifully. Can't move it tho, it has been in the ground tooo long, at least not til it dies down. I have wished it was in a slightly shadier place cause it looks so pitiful every afternoon with that hot direct sun. I guess I havre been neglectful with the fertilizer too, I think tonight I will throw some Miracle grow on it. I just thought it should do like it had done in the past and gave it no special attention - shame on me.

Yes this water ban sucks. We can only water every other day from 5:00am til 10:00am, then from 10:00pm til midnight. My things are so spread out that I really don't have time to soak each area as much as it needs. Well, I don't get up at 5:00am so I only have about 3 hours to do it all. Our grass is brown, my Black eyed Susans are almost gone and the Shastas are completely gone. Don't know if they will even come back next year, but the hostas are hanging in there, I only water the "important" expensive stuff!! Pray for a "rainy night in Georgia".
