i am sure you know your pink clematis is not a miss bateman. miss bateman is a white clematis. kind of lie a smaller henryii. however, that should not diminish the joy of the first bloom and your achievement in gardening!

Either that or "Bee's Jubilee"

The supposed "Ms. Bateman" I got at Wal-Mart looks like the one in the first post too. It had a picture the flower along with the name.

many clematis are mislabeled in stores or from specialty growers. won't name names but i have had mis labels from well known places..not silver star however.
one mis label a few years ago excited me because i thought i had a special plant that was a sport or chance seedling that might be new, only to discover after quite sometime of fantasy about that it was a mislabel. (i thought it was a double ivan olsen and it was a veronicas choice) very disappointing. but it happens.
