MY POOR BABY

yesterday i noticed a bald spot on one of my bab turkeys. then i saw another turkey peckng at the spot. i took the bald turkey and put him in a pen by himself. will he be alright alone, and when should i put himback with the others?

are they young? if you ahve them under lights still, switch to a red, bulb, then they don't notice any bleeding spots, can't see as well, and less liekly to peck him.

could be the one that needs removed is the one doing the pecking. he will peck on someone else now, and eventually teach others to peck.

if he is lonely, you might watch and see if another turkey seems to be missing him, and put in with him... and feed him some eggs or sunflower seeds or brewers yeast, something high protein, then hel'll gro whi sfeathers back in faster.

thanks tamera. they are 6 weeks old. the one who was pecking at him is a tom. he puffed up and strutted over to peck the poor thing

Oh! Bad little tom! Looks like he may need a
time out! I had to get rid of Blanca because she
taught Davey to attack us- they learn this badness
