keep in mind sometimes they don't break down all that fast... i dug mine up from last year still looking like they could be just planted a few weeks ago.... but the roots do grow right though them

Hi, I use the paper pots all the time, I have a set up in front of the tv. I make my paper pots watching the news an throw them in a basket. when I have enough to start, I fill them with soil less mix. I would be lost without making up my pots. This year I had over four hundred seedlings. Because my wife buys the newspaper, It don't cost me anything, and I am keeping the newspaper out of the landfill.

I love paper pots! I like to make them square, so they sit better in the trays. I use these instructions. They take a little more time, but they are really cool when your finished

Our Flower Show Kid's Festival has been making paper pots for years. We use an unopened small tomato paste can as the form. If you want a bigger pot, use a soup can to make them. The tomato paste cans are easy for even the littlest kids to manipulate and the kids have a blast making them and planting their seeds. I can get over 200 pots out of a couple of sections of the paper. some of the kids like the comics to work with. All of our papers use soy ink now. I have made and used them myself and I always end up at the end of the festival night with enough tomato paste to last until nearly the next festival!
