While moving some pots around, this guy came flapping out acting not well, I picked him up and layed him on a pot. He flapped around somemore and then just laid there. So I took some pictures.
I sure hope he isn't going to die. I can see he has a torn wing, and he sure was acting strange.

Susan, that's a Polyphemous Moth, they are beautiful. She (I think) may not have wanted to fly during the day or just emerged, hope she is okay. Did she take off tonight?

I didn't go back tonight and check. We are in for thunderstorms so I hope she finds shelter.
Thank you for the id. I bet it was that she didn't want to fly during the day. I was moving these pots and I bet she was hiding behind one. I hope it wasn't me that gave her the torn wings.
