after my tulips die

Belleville, IL(Zone 6a)

I planted tulips in my retaining wall beds. the flowers are spent. after the foliage dies back can i plant my coleus right on top of where the tulips are planted? This is my first year to grow tulips at as large a scale as i did. I usually just plant a few here and there. and then plant around them. any info. i can get will be a great help.
thanks

Yes, shouldn't be a problem.

Diana, I'd recommend keeping things that need more moisture further away from the tulips. For me tulips tend to rebloom better when they are dry during summer dormancy. I've tried to use annuals that are drought tolerant in such areas.
