I live in the north Houston/Magnolia, TX area. I would like to purchase up to four chickens. My area feed stores no longer carry chicks. Anyone have any suggestions about a source in the Houston area to which i might turn? Chicks are preferred, but adult hens will do as well.
Thank you.
Chickens wanted
We have one broody hen sitting on eggs but she only sat on 5 and we have no clue what we will get. Usually you end up with more roos out of a hatch.
Last year we got some chicks from Martin's Feed in Conroe, but I'm not sure if they have any this year either. Check on Craigs List to see if anyone is advertising selling chicks, perhaps you can find someone in the area that has some that way.
also try www.petfinder.com look under birds, not livestock...
freecycle is good too!
backyardchickens.com
wish i ilived closer to you, i would share LOL
hope you get some good chickens soon. do you know what breed you want?

We live close enough but my kids wouldn't part with any of ours. They are all part of the family. Funny how that happens :)
