How to deal with some bees ?

I live isolated out in the boondocks in Aridzona and presently have a quanity of bees coming to get water from my dogs watering dishes . Not wanting to see a problem with my dogs possibly causing a confrontation with the bees , is there any suggestion by you beekeepers types as to how to discourage bees from visiting ?

Try annother source for water. arge and shallow with some stones or rocks to keep them from drowning.

Bees seem to like water that is cold (in or near the surface of the ground) or near an evaporating water source. Provide an alternate source, closer to the hive.

I read your post differently - looks like you do not have a hive, you have dogs whose dish is being raided. Once bees find a location they like - they tell the others and they come to that spot.

So, you could move the dog dish to a very different location. You may choose to leave a bowl for the bees - to keep the dogs safe - elevate it off the ground, perhaps a small bird bath in the bee drinking location. Then the bees will not go looking for a source of water and find the new dog bowl location.
