I was actually hurt today by one of my red silkie roos. He spurred me, hitting the side of my shin just right and caused a huge blood pool the the size of a plum under my skin. If I knew how to clean a chicken he would in a stew pot. I doubt he will make it to when my meat bird get processed. Now that the chicks are settled I am going on a hunt with dog nail clippers for him and his red-devil buddies!
Bad red silkie
go get 'em gal!
Well, I didn't have the chance I have been searching the neighborhood for a rogue male peacock, a neighbor called me to ask me if I had a peacock that went missing because it was on her lawn. There are no peacock owners anywhere close to me so I went hunting, didn't find it though. He was last seen about 300 ft from me by the tree line so fingers crossed he decides to roost and eat with mine guineas.
