This morning, my husband was looking out the window and saw a hummingbird working the 'flowers' of the conifers in the back yard. Has anyone else ever observed this? We have lots of blooms right now with the rampant forget-me-nots and violas and violets to say nothing of late narcissus, but this little lady was very happily humming her way up the pine tree.

It'll find a few insects to pick off, so not a completely wasted time for it!
