OK-Chat away Maggie!!

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

I am so excited-my babies go in the ground this next weekend-I want to pop one out of the cowpots and see what the roots look like...

Bay City, MI(Zone 6a)

I have all the echs in the ground and they are growing fine!!!

La Salle, MI(Zone 5b)

I got my echs in the ground to and alot of other things planted out already, been working hard on the bed by the patio and the big bed out back, got a few plants in behind dh's garage, so things are starting to come together nicely.

Springfield, IL(Zone 5b)

Sounds like everyone was busy!
I made a couple of planters up for the drive and now have most of my veggies in the ground as well.

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

Well if y'all are putting yours in the ground I guess I'll follow y'alls lead and do the same.

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Here's to keeping my fingers crossed for all the babies-makes it kinda hard to type though!!;)

Greensboro, NC(Zone 7a)

Looks like Sunrise is doing good and Summer Sky is going down. I ordered 2 more Summer Sky in another co-op so I'll be trying again in a bit:lol: Maybe it will have a miraculous recovery;)

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

My summer sky started to look really bad-I stuck it outside for some rain and some sun for a couple days and it has 2 new leaves...

Springfield, IL(Zone 5b)

Ack! Frost advisory tonight Michigan folks..
I just finished covering up umpteen-million little babies..whew! (and there are still a few little things I am just praying for..)

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

There wasn't one in Monro County-just Hillsdale-I let it all be-I only have a few annuals that I was worried about, and they are inexpensive to replace, so I just let it be....Hope all yours are OK Angel!!

Springfield, IL(Zone 5b)

Hey thanks! I think we're ok..I just had my tomatoes, peppers and cukes out..and since they were fairly newly transplanted, I wasn't risking it. (there wasn't one for Ohio, either, but why chance losing babies I raised from seed?)

Springfield, IL(Zone 5b)

Finally got my babies out and into their homes about a week ago.
Sorry about the fuzzy pic..but that bloom is on the tiarella with the amber waves in the foreground.

Oh WOW Angel-that look lovely!!! I can't wait to see it next year!!! Now, don't go planting any onions in there!!ROFL!!!

I will have to take a pic of my front beds-don't look that great now, but they will look better by the end of the year and even better next year.

Ya know what was funny-I had the pictum fern that llooked dead to me-but I thought, what the hay, I am gonna plant it anyway-it is looking better than ever now!! Maybe it just needed to be in the ground...I have a couple others that don't look so great either, but I am gonna plant em and see...

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

we're making an echie bed this weekend. gonna move my echies to it, and when stacey has her co-op, gonna put those in it too

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

speaking of coleus, brinda sent me a box of cuttings yesterday!
stacey, call me. i need to talk to you

Fenton, MI(Zone 5b)

Hey Fairy ,
You are suppose to plant the plant IN the COW POT!! Remember it is Manure and biodegradable. (Referring to your first post here!)
Hey where is Loretta??? YOUUUUU HOOOOOO?????
Where are you Loretta?? Out buying more of that sausage!! LOL!
Julie

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

I did pot it in the cow pot silly:) I just ripped a whole in the bottom and folded back the edges so that it would be completely covered...

I lost about 1/2 of my cuttings:( I have the rest out in the air and doing well....I am bummed since most of the ones I REALLY wanted just shriveled up into nothing-I opened th bags ant there was either nothing or little black remanents of a leaf:(

Kathy-I will call you shortly:)

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

stacey, more bad news- our coleus died

Fenton, MI(Zone 5b)

Well as i said i will make lots of starts for all!! And cuttings in the fall. But of course they have got to grow!! You see how small they are. But i have high hopes! i have not even taken mine outside yet. It was too hot. but this cooler weather is perfect. So they will go out starting to day.
Julie Hey have you talked to Loretta???

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Kathy-flamingo??? What happened???It was very healthy when I sent it....

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

Julie-no I haven't heard from Loretta...hmm....I will see if she has been in the cleamtis forum-she hangs out there a lot....

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

i'm hanging my head in shame.i'm very sorry

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

You should be hanging your head missy!!;)LOL I can kill a cutting like it's nobody's business, but a whole plant....tsk tsk!!!^_^

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

but, but, it just happened! not my fault really

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Uh huh-at least your baby is still alive....

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

yes, thats a plus

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

FOR ANYONE THAT IS INTERESTED:
I am planning to make an order from Chalk Hill Clematis-they are going out of business-anyone who wants to tag along is welcome-it will be fall delivery, so for those of you in my bulb co-op that live close by you can get the clematis too and for those that don't I can ship them together:)

LMK:)

Lincoln Park, MI(Zone 5a)

YOO HOO Julie all my cuttings you did only lost one!!!What kinda soil mixture did you use???Just lost one that Dan gave use..He wants us to have a get together...LOL...Hes sooo much fun!!!I'll be sure to bring the Hot Pepperoni,,,plus Mikes can't forget that....Did you get all your Brugs planted???

I keep forgetting about the Michigan forum...just got a e-mail and they said someone was looking for me here!!!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

stacy, i would lik
1-sago
1-tie dye
1-rouge cardinal
1-rhapsody

Springfield, IL(Zone 5b)

Thanks! I will probably have to move a few things around once they fill out, but that's part of the fun. And Stacey, thanks to your bulb co-op, I will have LOTS of "little onions" to put in there, hehe!
Dont feel too bad about the coleus guys. Every single one I picked up this spring just croaked. The only one we have managed to not kill is a "big Chief" that Eric picked out at the Toledo plant thingy. (and it looks kinda sad)

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Angel-I have all my coleus on my fron N facing porch....and they all are doing great:)

Kathy-if you want 4, they come 2 in a box and are quite good sized for about $6 each wioth the 1/2 off sale-it might be better if you get them shipped right to you....call me if you have any ??

Loretta-Dan said to just pick the day and he is good:) The soil I used is from the stuff Julie brought w/ her-it is great stuff and she had success w/ most of hers, so I think it is just me...alol the ones I got when I was at your house though are doing well-I think I only lost 1 of those:)

My mom did order me 4 from Silver Star that are on their way, this place is closing and has some that are specific just to them, so I figured why not get a couple!!:)

Fenton, MI(Zone 5b)

Hello Stacey,
Is it Calk Hill Or Silver Star that is closing?? You say in above "Silver Star" is closing.
Julie

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)
