Does anyone know if melampodium grows in dappled shade in Houston? I have a mag that says it does.

LOL its been my experience that melampodium grows everywhere in Houston! In deep shade I didn't get so many blooms, but a nice cover. My neighbor had his in dappled shade and had plenty of blooms, but of course he is one of those guys that can grow toothpicks! :o)
