I have lots of ginger in my new yard and want to know when and how to propogate it.
when to propogate
You can divide them anytime. I'd not do it while they are flowering. While dormant is best, tho.
Do you just want to move it around your yard or pot it up?
I'd like to pot it up as I will be leaving in a year and I'd like to take some with me.
I would just dig up some of the hunks of roots and pot them up they are proably pretty big you will proably have to cut them to fit them in the pot. I just bought some on the market place here on Daves Garden you could sell a few too if you know what kind you have.
