This is crazy

Ya'll have to hear what an idiot I am. I had about 4 elephant ear plants, theyare pretty, but I know nothing about them.

Decided to move them, so started digging. The bulbs on some were almost 2 ft wide, so when I dug down, I chopped them in pieces. Couldn't get them out well and they were already buggered up, so I just got what I could, leaving pieces everywhere.

Went ahead and planted the biggest pieces thinking they'll not come up, but who knows. Just kinda threw the rest back in where i dug them up. Didn't cover it, so the dog drug them all over.

Not only did the ones I planted come up, but there are elephant ears coming up all over the place. If I had tried to do that, they would have rotted, but they just came up instead.!! Everyone I know laughs at my elephant ear yard and every where I go to plant, there another one is

How funny, I know the same thing would have happened to me... couldn't have done it if I tried, but if I left them for the dog to scatter... success!


I can think of much, much worse plant invaders to be occupying the yard, though. Are you going to try to keep many of them?

I am, I'm moving them, but the ones that I planted in the flower bed are taking those over.!!! Each bulb has put out at least 6 babies. I must have EE dirt. My mom loved them, guess she's lookin down laughing at me, either that or she somehow made it happen!!! lol

I'm giving some away too. They aren't really neat ones, just the plain old green ones.

I did about the same thing. I decided to move my EE's to a different place. They hadn't started coming up yet, so I was digging blind. I found a lot of them and broke some. I planted them in a new spot and they haven't started coming up yet, BUT in the spot that a I moved them from AND tilled a couple times, what is coming up?? EE's. I guess I should have just thrown them in the new spot and run the tiller over them a couple times........lol

That's right, try your best to kill them, boil, fry, let the dogs eat at it, and they'll live forever. Give them love and they'll just lay down and die. You'll have to post a picture when they start coming up.
