Apr 12,14 Microsoft auto updates slowed down browser speed.

After the updates on these days, DSL speed, became Slowsky. Have checked DSL and it's up to speed. It used to take 10 to 15 seconds for a screen change and now takes 1 to 3 min. No help from Microsoft...fielded me to India and wanted to charge 250.00, but can't afford, on fixed income.

Any ideas I can try? (Please keep answers simple...I'm VERY new.)
