( Kim) Zion, IL(Zone 5a)

I thought that I read somewhere that you could cut the stem and use a potato peeler to clean a stem if its to long I wonder if I read that in Robs I will go and look but this is when I first started AV

Mornin Girls, I'm the worst at planting the "necks" on AV's, can't ever seem to get the whole thing buried right! Maybe I'm not trimming it enough!

Time to go back to Rob's and go over the instructions again, he does give the best advice I've seen on transplanting all the gessies! This will also be a job I have to do soon on all my mini AV's!

I took that plunge with three NOID AVs late last Fall. I just cut it with the pruning scissors. I was scared to death! I left about 2-3 inches of stem on it and just plopped it into the soil. They took forever since it was nearing winter, but they've all rooted and are doing nicely. One of them is suckering now. I know I need to get that sucker out of there, but that also will be new undertaking for me.

BTW, my instructions were taken from Rob's site too. He's AWESOME!
