Hi Awanda, Miami is about 5 hours south east of here. So I'm not really in the know about the nurseries there. But I know Fairfield Tropical Garden (10901 Old Cutler Road) Its an amazing place and the garden shop sometimes is loaded with hoyas.
Check out the Florida Gardening Forum.....I'm sure the locals will have other suggestions.
The few loya heads on that forum that will be able to help you.

I have never been to Fairchild Botanical Gardens: http://www.fairchildgarden.org/index.cfm?page=visitingfairchild but hear it is a MUST see when in that area!
I know there are hundreds of wholesale nurseries in South Florida, don't know about retail nurseries but I'm sure there must be many. A lot of folks from South Florida hang out in the Fla Gardening forum so Ric gave you great advice about asking over there! I'm sure you will get some good suggestions from those who live in the area.

Thanks Lin, I have a wholesale license, so I guess I'd better take it with me. We're only going to be there for 2 days. We're taking our granddaughter on a cruise to the Bahamas for her graduation/birthday present, but plan on staying in Miami for 2 days after we return.

Have a wonderful time on your cruise to the bahamas! We love the islands, have never been on a cruise but have been to the Bahamas a few times. My husband and I and my sister and her husband and two of our friends had hoped to take our small boat over this summer and rent a house for a week like we did in 2004 but it just didn't work out for this year ... hopefully in 2009 we will do it again! I won't go over on our boat (it's a little 24 footer) the ladies fly over and meet the guys there! We stay in the Abaco's but have been to Nassau also. A lot of the cruise ships go to Nassau and Freeport. The waters there are just beautiful!
What a great graduation gift for your granddaughter! Congratulations to her on her graduation! I hope you all have a really great cruise and 2 days in Miami!

Hey Awanda ... need a hoya ... uh, I mean house sitter while you are cruising?
Oh Sis. K and Lin how nice of you to kind of volunteer to hoya-sit! I just wouldn't feel right asking you to fly all the way out here just to watch a greenhouse & 2 inside plant stands full of hoyas:-) Of course by the time I get back, I may need another gh! I refused to return home empty handed unless of course the hoyas are being mailed back to AZ.
My granddaughter is so beside herself about the cruise; we're going to Vegas in a couple of weeks for her graduation!

Oh, definitely go there!
I've purchased from them before, (Begonias only - great plants, great prices, great service) and have also seen photos from others that have visited....I have a feeling you'll get hooked on Begonias by just visiting!
Oh Nan don't say that, I just don't have the room for another plant addiction! PS, I'm sorry but the job of granddaughter has already been taken:-) and she said I can only have one:-).
