For my last 3 trades, when I click on a member's "have list", it follows the link and all the plants are listed as "wants." It's been confusing the heck out of me. Please let me know if I'm the only one who has noticed this. Thank you! F4F

I'm to lazy to put down my want list. Kind of a moving target any ways.
What is the protocol to trading with someone if they have something you want? Do you just dmail and see if they are looking for anything particular or if they would send you the seeds for sase? I have noticed that too. It can definitely become a bit frustrating when you are new to everything lol.
If I see something I want to trade for I send a D-mail offering a few things and see what they're interested in. I did that with one trader and we ended up trading 4 different kinds of seeds between us. It's hard sometimes if your trying to trade with someone who has a 400 item have list. They usually want something fairly uncommon or rare. Some itmes it may be easy.
Right now I'm collecting seeds for a guy in Europe who's looking for Palm seeds. I have 7 diffenert trees on my street so that's easy enough for me. Never collected them because no one seems to want to grow palms from seeds. He has a pretty good size collection so it should work out well for us I think.
Well, one good thing to do is to get yourself out there in posts on the seed trading forum once you have listed a few things that you have or want. I usually get 2 to 4 trades from that. I also look up folks in the plantfiles for items that I have under the line "XXX number of members have or want this plant for trade", and then I Dmail them to see if they still want that plant.
By the way, I'm just a dyslexic having a blonde moment (no offense to blondes- my coworker uses that "line" all the time and she is blonde) about the have/want thing. I guess when you are looking at someone's have list, there is a link giving you the option of going to someone's want list. On top of it, this member listed some "haves" that they Dmailed me and wanted, so I have to wonder if his or her lists are recently updated. On a big trade for lots of items, I really like to be careful that it is a well organized trade!
