Ask me how tickled I am!?!?! lol This is my first edible crop since starting to garden here.
I put 17 Tribute everbearing strawberry plants in a lasagne bed last November, never covered them, and started picking berries about a month ago. I gave them compost & epsom salts a couple of months ago, then fertilized for the 1st time last week.
The plants are large & cranking away with buds & berries. I'm thinking since they're everbearing that I might need to fertilize them once in a while thru the summer - does that sound right?
Picked these about an hour ago, for breakfast in the am.
My 1st strawberry bed!
So, how tickled are you? I'd be pretty tickled! Good growing!
lol I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo tickled! :))))))))
They look soooooo good! This is our first year for getting strawberries too (planted them last year) and we have green berries on their way. Ours don't look that big though, maybe they'll keep growing. Congrats!
They're getting bigger the more they grow, so yours may get bigger, too. They're really good berries. :))
