I am not sure where to go in all of these topics to learn more about growing herb plants to sell. There is so much information I just do not have the time to sort thru it. Can anyone tell me the best forum to join for this subject? I have decided to add the herb plants to my tropical plants and try and sell them for less than they are asking in all our farm markets. I am not sure if it will work, but I have time and space just now and thought it might be a new experience. I have always had herbs in the garden, but never in pots to sell. Please direct me to the correct forum. Thank you.

Maybe Market Gardeners would be the best place for your questions? I sell allot during spring at one of the markets I go to but a friend sells them at other markets. Any reason you want to sell cheaper than Farmers Markets? Price has very little to do with the reasons people buy herb plants from a specific grower.
Grammy, I really feel the price of herbs in NJ our way out of reach for the Military people I sell to. They have very limited income and even on the base at the commissary the prices are not that great. I would like to do it for them basically. The type of farmers market we have here in my area are just more or less road side stands that call themselves markets. Not where people can go from one stand to another and have a choice. In PA they had the most wonderful farmers markets where you could go twice a week and get anything ever grown. I so miss that. Thanks for your thoughts. I will try the Market 'Gardners list.
