Going back to retinal specialist to see how surgery went

Sugar Land, TX

Last week I tore and detached my left retina. What a _itch, if you know what I mean. I feel loopy, my depth perception is terrible with one eye.

Keep me in your thoughts and prayers, please! I go to the surgeon today to check on things.

I did want to say that my french hollyhock (got it at the exchange) has its first bloom! I'm so excited!

And my monarchs are doing great. My kids have taken over the monarch "cage," and we haven been releasing at least two or three butterflies every day for the past week.

Sorry to hear that, Jo. Will certainly keep you in my prayers. I hope up can enjoy your gardening this year and many more to come.

Jo, if you have any problems, such as it detaching again, let me know. I was talking to a friend of a friend up in Oklahoma this last weekend. He had detached his retina last year and had surgery 3 times in a short period in Oklahoma City last year, before he ended up driving all the way to MD Anderson (lucky you are close) to a well known eye doctor. He really thought he was going to end up losing his vision, before the correct doctor reattached the retina correctly. I can find out the Dr's name for you if you need it.

Wonderful to hear. I just realized how negative my post sounded. I did not mean to scare you with the Oklahoma City Doctors incompetence.
