Cat, are you OK?

The TV newsfolks say the fires are all around you, hoping and praying all is well at your home.

Keeping my fingers crossed here too...I hope everything's alright!

I'm ok. Fires are about 8 miles away from me, but my sister was in the midst of it. Thank goodness, her husband was smart enough to put their sprinklers on the roof for a good soaking of house and grounds!
Some people I work with had damage to their homes, and some of my nephews friends lost their homes.
Worst part of this whole thing is that it was done on purpose! Now, we have "copycat" idiots who are trying to do the same thing in my area. People are watching out and helping each other. Guarding houses and trying to soak lawns, and also obey the sever water restriction, now in effect.
I am watering my hibs at 1 in the morning, for 3-5 minutes. Trying to soak my lawn for 10 minutes, at 1 in the morning.
But, otherwise ok, so far :)

Thank goodness you are okay. Close fires are such a scary thing! I just can't even begin to comprehend the mentality of pyromaniacs. The horrible fires we've had here in the last few years have also been started on purpose. What's sad is that they usually don't catch the people who commit these crimes :-(
