"Why did you plant sticks?" Apparently he never noticed anything I was rooting...
"Did the kids do that? Why are your plants on the heating pad?" I'll admit it - I am using my heating pad - it does get to 75' and has a timer which seems to be working.. I will invest in some actual propagation ones soon.... I swear!
Gotta love it... hopefully my "heating pad" will help my "sticks" grow some leaves soon ^_^
DH thinks I officially fell off of my rocker...
Just one word of caution, the soil needs to stay moist for the new roots coming in so watering has to be more frequent when cuttings are getting bottom heat from a heating pad or else they can become dehydrated and desiccated. This can pose a fire hazard if moisture gets on a real heating pad so you may need to put plastic between the heating pad and the pot as a temporary solution until your plant propagation mat arrives. Bottom heat is a good idea though so good job!
Thanks for the tip about the water. I usually do about e/o day with my moisture lovers - depending on medium conditions - but I will make a note to check them daily while on the heat.
Thankfully I did think to put plastic under them.
Thanks!
