Can I grow tomato & pepper plants on my screened porch in containers? They would get about 5 hrs of sunlight a day.
Can I grow?
You bet, just make sure they get sun from all sides.
Thanks, I was given a device for Mother' Day called The Pug. It is made of all plastic and you are suppose to grow plants upside down. Don't know if this will work but figured I had to give it a shot since it was a present.

If you just scroll right back up to the top here, and type in topsy turvy tomato planter on the right where it says 'search forums', you should find lots of info. I think the trick, as with any method, is to just make sure it is watered at all times.
I may be misstaken,I believe peppers need a pollinator unless you do it your self.

I wondered about that until I remembered seeing the Aero Garden commercial on TV and they claim you can grow peppers inside. So I guess maybe you don't need a pollinator. Here is a picture of what I was given.

I have no shortage of pollinators on my patio Im afraid, I didnt think of that. It is a good point for sure, especially with a big tight patio. Ocassionally, the dogs will get a squirrel trapped in the encloser, and they eat there way out thru the top. Must be just enough to let the right bugs in. I know I was shocked myself when my myers lemon that was just waiting on the patio for a pot, and for me to enjoy the fragrance, got little lemons. I thought for sure I would have to take it outside.
Ive got peppers coming out of my ears right now. The ones Im waiting for are almost done, the cubanelles. I love them in chili. Wish I could grow them in chili season. I have had to stake my peppers in the earthboxes they are growing so much. I wasnt expecting that. Too many banana peppers and dont know what to do with them.
