The Pug

Just wondering if anyone has ever used The Pug Patio Garden. I just got this as a Mother's Day gift and the instructions on growing plants is very limited. Would like to grow some tomatoes with this. Hopefully I will be able to do this.

Thanks,
Marilyn

Happy Mother's Day!

I know there have been threads on "upside down tomato planters" that you should be able to find if you search forums... I'm guessing this should work similarly.

Marilyn...I have this planter. Unfortunately the first time I tried growing tomatoes it was too hot! (planted too late in June) The top grew great though with basil and some ornamentals.

The second time I tried it this winter...we had a real cold snap and my tomato plants froze! I'm just not having any luck with it, but I will definitely try again!

Okay...you want to laugh?

Here's my upside-down tomato planter last year...it did great on the topside!

(PS: Please don't let me discourage you...I've just had really bad timing!)
