Converting Illustrator CS file to legacy version 8

Has anyone converted an Illustrator CS, very complex, drawing into Legacy version 8 eps file? When I view my drawing after conversion, it's full of unnecesary, no fill, but stroked boxes that show through on the image. I can only view the converted document in CS since version 8 is long gone. I have no idea if these outlined boxes show when viewed in AI8. If somebody has Illustrator 8, I would appreciate it if they could view my file and tell me if the image is clear or not. Any help would be appreciated.
