My new hoya misting system (thanks to meltn's suggestion)

Saint Petersburg, FL(Zone 9b)

The hoyas love it....and if the hoyas are happy, I'm happy. Less time watering = more time to aquire more plants lol.

Threegardeners...it acually has these nozzles that you plug into the the main hose and creates a really fine mists that travels everywhere in the yard. The system was around forty dollars for fifty feet of hose and the attachements, the timer was sold seperatelly.

Really neat, Ric...I have one down the length of the GH and on hot drier days I turn it on....i can almost hear the collective sigh of relief!!!!! More misting and less watering is helping my hoyas to grow more....

That looks so good, ric! I heard that sigh of relief up here, too. I am in the planning stage of a small-scale shade house similar to yours for my Hoyas. Shade is not a commodity easily come by where I live, unfortunately. Thanks for posting the finished system.

That is very cool Ric. . . .. I love the shade house that you have, I need something like that so I can put some plants ouside. Thank you for showing it here!

Lourdes and Jan,
Shades houses are great......easy to build, the hoyas get the air flow and the rain water. and they can be covered up with a big plastic tarp in the winter.
