PLEASE CROSS POST
Dear Fellow Rescuers and Animal Lovers,
Monday evening Christi Novicki, a fellow rescuer was in a tragic car
accident and was killed. At the time of the accident she was with her
faithful companion Shiloh a shepherd mix that she had rescued and adopted
several years ago. As help arrived on the scene, they were unbuckling
Shiloh from her safety harness and frighten and confused she escaped.
Christi was a bubbly, compassionate and caring person who helped many
different rescue groups by pulling and transporting dogs from the pounds to
the safety of a rescue or foster home. She was always ready and willing to
help a dog in need. At the young age of only twenty one she had already
helped and saved more animals than many people have in a lifetime. Her own
dog Shiloh was rescued from an abusive and neglect situation and through her
devotion and patience she showed Shiloh what love was all about. Shiloh was
a constant companion and shadow with Christi and only when Christi was at
work or school were the two of them ever apart.
Shiloh is still missing, lost in the confusion and probably frightened and
looking for her beloved owner and friend.
The accident happened on Monday, May 5 at St. Rt. 193 near Cauldwater Sunk
Rd. in Trumbull County, Ohio. Shiloh is a shepherd mix about 40#. She is
golden tan in color with a black nose and muzzle. She was just clipped for
the summer so her body is shaved and herhead, tail and legs all have long
fur so she is very easy to recognize. She is wearing a purple collar with
tags and she is micro chipped. We do not know if she is injured. She is
shy towards men. If you see her or can catch her arrangements have been
made with All Creatures Animals Hospital for her care 330-847-7205 or you
can contact the Trumbull County Dog Kennel at 330-675-2787.
