I put the baby geese pair with the Cayuga Ducks in the same brooder when they arrived and now the baby ducks think the geese are their parents!! LOL Maybe cause the gosling are twice as big as the ducklings ? They follow them around and do everything they do. All of them sleep in a pile together. I'm going to have ducks that honk instead of quacking! LOL!!!!

So far so good (knock on wood). I gave up on trying to keep them out of the water. They're all happiest splashing about especially at meal times. They hop in and out of the water every time they take a bite and then run for the lamp to dry off. They repeat this every half hour or so. Can't wait till it's actually summer so they can have the wading pool. I'm still working on Paul and that pond I want to re-open.

I love it!

We had a dog many years ago that allowed kittens to try to nurse after the mama cat was killed.

I knew that some animals will adopt the young of other animals but these guys are all babies themselves! It's so funny to watch the geese leading the parade :-)
